Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Volunteer Services Now Accepting Scholarship Applications for 2025

SOLVANG—February 13, 2025— Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) Volunteer Services is now  accepting applications for the 2025 SYVCH Volunteer Services Scholarship. This scholarship program provides  financial support to Santa Ynez Valley residents pursuing careers in healthcare and medicine, offering  scholarships of up to $3,000 each. 

Funded through the efforts of the SYVCH Volunteer Services’ New to You thrift shop, this annual scholarship is  open to local high school seniors and continuing college students who meet the eligibility criteria. 

Applicants must meet the following scholarship eligibility and requirements: 

Must be a resident of the Santa Ynez Valley 

Applicants must be either entering or currently enrolled in a health or medical-related field of study and  must provide a letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university. 

Be a graduating high school senior or an enrolled college student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (official  transcript required). 

Submit a one-page personal essay outlining professional goals and how the scholarship will support  those aspirations. 

(Optional) Provide a verification letter for any community service completed at a Cottage Health  department.

Applications must be postmarked or emailed by Friday, March 7, 2025. Late or incomplete submissions will not  be considered. To give new applicants an opportunity, previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply.
